Freshman Parent Meeting - February 1st
A meeting for parents of all incoming freshmen will be held in the Barbe boys’ gym on Monday, February 1st, at 6:00.  Parents of students who are currently in the eighth grade and who plan to attend Barbe in the fall of 2010 should plan to be present at this meeting.  An overview of the Barbe program will be presented. 

Some coaches and club sponsors will be present to provide information and to answer questions.  Next year’s ninth grade administrator and counselor will be present.

LSU Spring Testing
 Any senior hoping to receive an invitation to LSU's Spring Testing must have all your application materials for admission turned in by January 15th, 2010

LSU Weekend Tours
 Any senior wishing to take a tour of LSU on the weekends of January 16th or March 20th, 2010 should register with the University at:

         www.lsu.edu/weekendtours

ACT Prep Workshop
LSU at Eunice is offering several ACT Prep workshops this spring.  The next English/Reading workshops will be held January 16th and March 13th, 2010.     The next Math/Science workshops will be held January 23rd and March 20th, 2010.

AP Exam Fees - January 7th, 2010
AP Exam fees will be accepted beginning January 7th, 2010.  Fees are $86 for regular lunch students and $56 for free/reduced lunch students.  Students may make payments to the bookkeeper.  The fees may be made in increments; they do not have to be paid all at once.

The deadline for payment will be the first week in March.

January 28th, 2010  -  Central School - Financing College
Central Library will be hosting a Financing College program for parents and potential college students. Representatives will be on hand to answer your questions about FASFA, scholarships, and financial aid. The program at Central Library will be held this Thursday, January 28th from 6 – 7:30 pm. and is open to everyone.

January 28th, 2010  -  Baseball Silent Auction
Thursday Jan 28th at the VFW Hall on Country Club Road the silent auctions will be held.  The tickets are $15.

The guest Speaker will be Warren Morris (He hit a walk off Home Run to help LSU win one of their World Series)  Gumbo from Big Daddy's will be served.

2010  -  2011 SCHEDULING PACKETS
2010-2011 schedule packets for incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students are due on Friday, February 5th.

2010-2011 Scheduling packets for incoming 9th grade students are due to their MIDDLE SCHOOL counselor on Friday, February 12th

February 9th , 2010  -  Financial Aid Workshop at Barbe
Financial Aid Workshop in the Barbe Cafeteria for all seniors and their parents on February 9th at 6 PM.

Representatives from McNeese, LELA and TOPS will be available to answer questions.
