The Barbe Tennis teams have established a long tradition of excellence which continues to the present. The Girls Tennis Team has won two Class 5A State Championships and the Boys Tennis Team is the 2002 State Runner-up. Tennis begins in early September with fall practice and continues into the spring when matches are played. Each player is required to pay a registration fee in both the fall and spring in order to fund the tennis program. Players are required to provide their own equipment and clothing and must pay the cost of food and lodging when traveling for tennis matches. Interested students should listen for information concerning registration beginning in late August. The Tennis coach is Mrs. Jackie Royer
