NHS - National Honor Society

Founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Honor Society is one of the oldest, largest, & most recognized student organizations in American High Schools. This organization recognizes and promotes individual student academic achievements with the purpose of creating enthusiasm for Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. 

Barbe High School NHS members are selected in the fall of their junior year by invitation from the NHS Faculty Council.  All members must keep a minimum 3.5 grade point average, have a clean discipline record, and complete the required community service hours.
