NEW Students enrolling at Barbe High School   
 

1. All students entering CPSB schools require a permit to register. You obtain this permit at the         Child Welfare & Attendance Office located at 2423 Sixth St. You will need to bring copies of the following documents: 

  • Two current utility statements (1 must be an electric bill) 

  • Mortgage statement or Lease agreement 

  • Your student’s birth certificate, social security card & current immunization records 

 
Out of Zone permit requests are from March-May. 

CWA begins issuing In Zone permits for the next school year after July 4th. Contact them at (337) 217-4230 with any questions. 
 

2. Once you have your permit, you may register your student online or bring your permit (also bring copies of BC, & immunization records) to Barbe’s front office between 8am-12pm. 

You may also register online at www.cpsb.org. Please click on the Parents/Students tab and you will see “Register a Student” to your left. Registering online will save you time when you arrive for our onsite registration prior to school starting. Please make sure you upload all required documents and inform the school Registrar that you have already registered online. You can also pay registration fees ($45), pay any school fees, buy spirit shirts, yearbooks and parking stickers online. 
 

3. School onsite registration dates are listed below. You will attend your grade level registration at  specified time. You will first meet with the school Registrar to complete enrollment and new  student paperwork. You will then sit down with a Counselor to create your schedule. Student Council will be present to provide school tours.  

Placement Testing for incoming 9th grade students

Students in grade 9 transferring to the public school from any nonpublic or home school program are required to take the LEAP Placement Test in English language arts and mathematics for grade placement. 

LEAP Placement test registration will be available online at www.cpsb.org. Under Depts select “Assessment” then click on LEAP Placement test information, select 9th grade.
